Do you feel overwhelmed with all of the advice, methods, recommendations and product choices, not to mention becoming a new parent?! YOU ARE NOT ALONE. No matter how much we prepare, having a baby is a big transition, and there is a major lack of high-quality information and support during a time when we need it the most.
The first few months as a new parent- new for the first time or new for another time- can be challenging, overwhelming, joyous, sleep deprived, and so much more. Being supported in this time is beneficial for your growth as a parent and can be the difference between simply surviving and thriving.
Luminous Postpartum lovingly offers both in-home and virtual doula services.
Postpartum support in your home focuses on your health and well-being and supporting parents and the newborn. This ranges from simply being an ear to listen to preparing meals, providing care so you can shower and nap, providing evidence based information and guidance, running errands and more.
Maybe you are looking for a postpartum doula but don’t have any nearby. Or maybe you just prefer to have virtual support, either over the phone or via a video call, instead of having someone in your home. Either way I can help, wether you just need a one-time consultation or several weeks of ongoing support.
Imagine having access to a doula with over 25 years of experience to help you sift through your options without guilt or pressure, to listen to your concerns and reassure you when tears of exhaustion and self-doubt are flowing, and to offer non-judgmental support for the choices YOU make, not what the books say or family and friends tell you you have to do. Imagine having evidence-based, high-quality resources available to you, instead of the latest guilt-inducing parenting trend making its way across the internet. Imagine getting support with breastfeeding, chestfeeding, pumping, and/or bottle feeding without leaving the comfort of your home. Imagine having a safe person to truly listen to you as you process your birth story or share any emotions that arise during this transformational time.
